Our

STORY

We are two sisters committed to good food, family, and our community.

Gail was a pastry chef, line cook, and banquet cook in one of San Francisco’s hottest hotels for ten years before moving back home to Ohio. She knew coming home to start her own pizza business with her sister was a good move, and after 10 successful years of running a business and feeding people, Bella Sorella Pizza is one of the most fulfilling things Gail has ever done.

Elizabeth brings her teaching and leadership skills to Bella Sorella after building her first outdoor brick oven 15 years ago on her farm. After feeding her friends and family for years, she asked Gail to move home and help her bring wood-fired pizza to Dayton. Their commitment together as sisters is to create a community around food, staff, customers, and our town.

Elizabeth’s 1-acre garden is filled with only the freshest, organic vegetables, herbs, and pork. Gail uses this to create the most delicious and fresh pizza that she shares with you in every bite!

Since our start in 2012, Bella Sorella Pizza is proud to have donated a combined total of more than $22,000 to our local YMCA, Aullwood Audubon Center & Farm, PBS, Pelotonia bike ride for cancer research, and other local charitable organizations.

Bella Sorella is so proud to have a relationship with Miami Valley Meals. We donate any unused or overage or dough, toppings and ingredients every week. They are using these to make rolls, flatbreads, and more to help create and serve over 4,000 meals weekly to the hungry and poor in Dayton.
